City, County and Local Government Law Section recognizes Nikki Day
“In a chapter full of volunteers, this year’s Chair Service Award recipient, Nikki Day, stands out by going above and beyond chapter expectations, volunteering to work on projects, coordinating and moderating CLEs and presenting at webinars and conferences,” the chapter said. President Amanda Coffey. “Nikki approaches each project with a cheerful energy, skill and determination that ensures she will achieve her goals. I’m proud to be able to work with this awesome person and call her a friend.
The CCLGL Chapter, which represents the interests of Florida local government attorneys and has approximately 1,700 members, functions as a vehicle for attorneys who serve local governments. It helps them network, exchange ideas, pursue their legal education and advocate on issues important to them and their clients.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by my peers in the local government legal community with this distinguished award,” said Day, who practices with Bryant Miller Olive in Tampa. “I have dedicated my entire career to representing Florida city, county and state government entities, and this award inspires me and my team to continue this important work.”
Day is certified in city, county and local government law and is general counsel for the cities of Safety Harbor, Dunedin and Largo, as well as the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. She also serves as a special advisor to other cities, counties and local governments in the state.
