Government jobs in India offer several benefits and command respect and prestige. It’s no wonder that many young people are eager to land government jobs. Here are some job-oriented courses and specialized courses in higher education that can help an aspirant succeed.

A bachelor of science degree in fields such as animal husbandry, agriculture, forestry statistics, public administration, and economics can lead to jobs in government universities. Other interesting positions include Project Assistant, Technician, Consultant, Research Officer, Statistical Officer and Data Manager.

Agricultural studies (B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA) can help students find jobs in organizations such as Food Corporation of India (FCI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) , IFFCO and the State Farms Corporation of India. . A postgraduate degree could help land a job with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Veterinary medicine and its branches have high potential due to India’s high ranking in livestock and commodities. However, entering a Bachelor of Veterinary Science entails clearing the NEET. One can be a veterinary doctor, veterinary surgeon, veterinary neurologist or epidemiologist.
