JIACC refers 9 people to justice on corruption charges, including government officials

Ammon News – The Council of the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) transmitted to the public prosecutor’s office the investigation file of the former financial director of a government university, its former budget chief and its chief cashier, suspected of corruption.

In a JIACC statement issued on Sunday, the charges included repeated embezzlement, abandonment of jobs, waste of public money and embezzlement of thousands of Jordanian dinars from rewards given to their beneficiaries in various fields.

The JIACC board also referred three senior executives from another public university on suspicion of employee negligence and waste of public money, the statement added.

In addition, the Council brought to justice a general secretary of the ministry, the general manager of an affiliated body and a business manager working in the field of tourism, suspected of professional negligence and waste of public money, stressed the JIACC.
