A look back at the historic 2021 WA election campaign.

Labor won 52 of 59 seats in the Lower House, while the seat previously held by the Churchlands Liberals was on the razor’s edge as the count continued on Friday.

The exact composition of the Legislative Council was less certain, but Labor had to claim a majority in both houses of Parliament.

“We will repay this faith”: McGowan

Mr McGowan described it as a very special day and asked his ministers to work hard and leave their wallets better than they found them.

“You have been given a great honor and a great responsibility,” said Mr. McGowan.

“We are in this position today by the good favor of the public.
