One year of DMK government

A year has passed since the DMK government of Chief Minister MK Stalin took office. What role will the government play this year to ensure law and order? What are the disadvantages of being overweight? What happens afterwards? – Henry Thieben, consultant and advocate for the Coalition Against Police Torture (JA ACT), offers his thoughts on the subject.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said he cried after watching the movie ‘Jai Bhim’. Since the days of the Tamil Nadu government of Chief Minister Stalin, he has taken further steps in a number of areas including education, free bus services for women, agriculture, water resources and solar energy. Why, on the other hand, has the Chief Minister not made such adjustments in the police force under his command? Consequently, several questions arise. Although no new efforts have been made within the police force, it seems that the police have already been ordered to strictly follow the decisions of the Supreme Court and the High Court.

Since the DMK took power in Tamil Nadu, nine police officers have died in the line of duty. Between January 2021 and April 2022, a total of ten police station killings took place including events at chennai police station mgr nagar and salem attur police station before coming to power in January and April 2021. Deaths in police stations:

Surya, an adult, died on 7th January 2021 at Bishop Nagar Police Station in Chennai.
