Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the government would recruit people for 10,000 vacancies in the police department and 15,000 vacancies in other government departments.

NEW DELHI: The Punjab cabinet passed a proposal to create 25,000 government jobs by approving the notification of 25,000 vacancies within a month. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in a tweet that the Punjab government intends to recruit people for 10,000 vacancies in the Punjab Police Department and another 15,000 vacancies in other ministries. According to him, the notification for the same will be released in a month.
“Chaired the first cabinet meeting. The Punjab cabinet approved the notification of 25,000 vacancies in a month. As we promised ahead of the election, job opportunities for the youth of our Punjab will be the top priority of the AAP government,” Mann said in the Twitter post.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Punjab Assembly elections in 2022, winning 92 out of 117 assembly seats. Mann was sworn in as chief minister of Punjab on March 16.
