Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Principal. The School Principal will lead the School of Government in promoting academic excellence and debate in public policy and public management, as well as in developing capacity within the public sector. Given the Wellington School of Business and Government’s unique position in the capital city of Wellington, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament, the Head of the School of Government is ideally placed to contribute to a strategy for engagement with the public sector, while improving the school’s academic activities. .

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant higher-level academic qualification and have strong credibility through international academic research and engagement. A passion for excellence in teaching and research with a commitment to an exceptional student experience is important to success in this position. You will lead academic engagement with tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in research and teaching.
