The administrator of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), a spokesperson for the Sindh government and adviser to the chief justice minister, attorney Murtaza Wahab, said on Wednesday that the local government law was not a ” holy scripture âwhich could not be changed.

Minister of Local Government of Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Member of Provincial Assembly Shazia Singar, Senator Yousuf Baloch, Secretary General of PPP Karachi Division Javed Nagori, Chairman of South District Khalil Hot, Secretary General Karamullah Waqasi, Deputy Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Chairman Najmi Alam, Project Manager Nazir Memon, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board General Manager Asadullah Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
The KMC administrator said the PPP fulfilled another promise as it previously built People’s Square near Burnes Road as part of the neighborhood project and now four other big projects were under construction.
He added that the Kakri Ground where Benazir Bhutto married had historical status and was a very important place for those who loved sports. âNow a modern football stadium, gymnasium and open public space are being built at Kakri Ground and these sports complexes will be completed within the next year,â Wahab said, adding that Lyari was a stronghold of the PPP. and known for sports such as football, boxing and cycling.
He promised that four projects will be launched in Karachi in the next 10 days. âThe Sherpao Ground in Malir is starting up and a project is also starting up in Kharadar. The construction of the Malir Kala Board road has been ordered by the Chief Minister of Sindh and the works will also start, âsaid the administrator of KMC.
